Hi, my name’s John Hughes.
I’m a bit of a latecomer to design and illustration, having only rediscovered my childhood love of drawing when I hit my mid-30s.
My plan for 2024 is to keep improving and developing my style and technique whilst gradually building up a decent-sized portfolio.
Home to tea-drinking dinosaurs, high-fiving lycanthropes, garrulous yaks and shifty-looking reindeer, Helicon Hill is the work of John Hughes, a designer and publisher based near Bristol in the U.K.
