This design was a bit of a breakthrough moment, as it was the first time I began to experiment with patterns and textures.
If you look closely, you’ll see that the T-Rex’s skin has a suitably mottled appearance.
To get this effect I took a photo of a concrete flagstone and – a little bit of tweaking with layer transparencies later – Hey presto, epidermis dinosaurus!
